Located in the former OCT Eastern Industrial Zone in Shenzhen, OCT-LOFT is a LOFT Creativity Industry Park reconstructed from old factory buildings. It clusters a batch of vanguard and cutting-edge creativity and design merchants in multiple fields, introduces various types of creativity industries, such as design, photography, animation creation, art and other industries. There also exist relevant industries with creativity characteristics such as concept restaurant, bar, retail, coffee etc. The whole OCT Loft is imbued with imagination and creativity spirit.

 

All people living and working here continuously incorporate creativity and vitality to OCT Loft. During the period from Christmas to Lunar New Year in 2015, the client wished to send new year surprises to all people in OCT Loft. How to seize the festival to present innovation spirit of LOFT and convey gratitude to people living and working in OCT Loft? It was the proposition of KAI before festive season. 

There exists a saying in western countries on expression of pleasure, joy and other emotions, "feeling like Christmas morning". As a confession of love, you can also say “you look like Christmas morning”. In this case, the client’s original expectation was to plan the OCT Loft to be imbued with festive atmosphere. The stereotyped planning based on festive atmosphere is feasible but it couldn’t obtain remarkable publicity effect. We wish to use a more creative method to create a vivid festive experience and facilitate people to fully enjoy the atmosphere on “feeling like Christmas morning”.

Dating back to ancient times, human beings will unconsciously find themselves humming when they feel relaxed and happy. In terms of current urban-entertainment style, it is indeed common for urban people to go to KTV with several friends. It can also be a relaxing get-together moment belonging to all colleagues after work. 


How about letting Lofters to enjoy karaoke to the fullest in fragmented time during the holiday season? 

We want to send special invitation to people who have been tired from their work and invite them to enjoy karaoke to the fullest at any time in working days. How to realize it in OCT Loft? We start to take a movable KTV into consideration. Thus, an unprecedented mobile transformable caravan with internally equipped KTV (length: 13m) facilitated an event lasting for two days and six sessions of extraordinary KTV free of charge to be really realized in OCT Loft.

 



Following the tradition that Santa Claus sends presents at Christmas Eve, we made tiny invitation cards for the event. Visitors can scan the QR Code affixed on the card to sign up for the event.




The KAIer coming from our company (190 cm in height) dressed up as Santa Claus and embarked on the journey by starlight. He posted up invitation cards on the door of all companies within the industry park at night. He also encountered security personnel in a certain pitch-dark passageway and had to tell security personnel his identity in the torchlight.

Mobile Caravan was parked at the downstairs of B3 Building, North Zone in OCT Loft. With expansion of two flanks of vehicle body, this magical converted caravan can internally extend a spacious KTV activity space.

  


According to the backend registration information, we selected six teams to participate in the event. They come from different companies in fields of design, advertisement, image and catering. Maybe they have already participated in many activities at OCT Loft before, but it is bound to be the first time for them to experience mobile caravan KTV within the industry park.  


Publicized based on the client’s original expectation on festival atmosphere (Christmas, New Year & Spring Festival) and promoted by the planning of differentiated transmission contents, the event was evolved to be a collective jubilance targeted to all clients to paid to OCT Loft and relevant office staffs here.


During the event, the clients who paid a visit to OCT Loft and the enterprises similarly located in OCT Loft all voluntarily forwarded relevant reports on this event via WeChat Moments based on their personal experience. In 2015, we were convinced that Santa Claus had indeed paid a visit to all of us in OCT Loft.
